The Passiv Thermostat is where you can change the target temperature for the corresponding zone. You will have one thermostat for each heating zone in your house, either one or two depending on your heating system. These will be placed on the wall somewhere in your home. They will look like this:
There are just three buttons on the Thermostat - Down, Centre, and Up.
When you first find your Thermostat, it will be asleep. This means the screen will either be dimmed or completely off. Pressing any button will wake the Thermostat.
Once the Thermostat is awake, it will display the current temperature as well as the current heating status of the system. See below for a guide on what the different icons on your Thermostat mean.
To change your target temperature, press any of the three buttons on the Thermostat. This will change your display to your current target temperature.
You can then press the Up button to increase your target temperature by 0.5°, or press the Down button to decrease your target temperature by 0.5°. Once you have adjusted the temperature to where you want it, you can press the Centre button to confirm. If you leave the Thermostat after changing your temperature but without pressing the Centre button, the device will automatically confirm your choice after 5 seconds.
Your Thermostat will now enter an override mode. To cancel this override , hold down the Centre button for 5 seconds. You will then be brought to an additional menu.
This menu can be navigated using the Up and Down buttons and using the Centre button to confirm. Select ‘Resume schedule’ to cancel your override and return to your scheduled heating.
If you have a wired (mains powered) Thermostat, you will also have the option to adjust your standby brightness from this menu. Select the ‘Standby brightness’ menu option and you will be brought to a new screen with a percentage value.
Use the Up and Down buttons to adjust the brightness level. The Thermostat screen will change brightness as you do so, allowing you to see the result in real time. When you are happy with the result, press the Centre button to return to the menu, and then select ‘Back’ to return to the Thermostat main screen. Note: This will only adjust the brightness of the Thermostat when in standby mode. When in use, brightness is always 100%.
