With ecoHeat on, the Passiv Smart Thermostat can optimise your heat pump to a number of different electricity tariffs. With ecoHeat on, your heat pump will run more during periods of low-cost electricity, using the fabric of your home to maintain temperatures into the morning and evening, avoiding the use of high-cost electricity.
The tariffs that ecoHeat supports are broken down by supplier, and can be found in the table below.
| Supplier | Tariffs |
|---|---|
| Generic |
|
| Octopus | |
| British Gas | |
| E.ON | |
| EDF | |
| Scottish Power | |
| Ecotricity | |
| Good Energy | |
| 100 Green | |
| So Energy |
Note that for Single rate and Economy 7, you will have the option of following the price cap in your area, or putting in custom rates. For Octopus tariffs, your rates will be automatically updated based on your area. For all other tariffs, you will need to input your rates manually.
Where can I find my electricity tariff rates?
If your home has a tariff not listed here, please get in touch with us by visiting the Settings section of your app and selecting Feedback. Alternatively, use our feedback form to request additional tariffs for optimisation.
In the meantime, in order to make the most out of your tariff, you could select one of the other tariffs listed that best reflects the tariff you are on. For example, you have a tariff with cheap overnight periods, you can achieve the same optimisation benefits by selecting Economy 7.
