To link your Passiv account with your Hub, you need to let the app know your Hub's details via the Programmer. This is done by scanning a QR code in the 'App registration' section of the programmer.
If you are experiencing issues with the QR code, see the below for potential problems and solutions.
- Make sure that the QR code is in focus. QR codes need to be very clear in order to be scanned correctly. Try moving your phone further back.
- Check that your camera app is capable of scanning QR codes. Most modern camera apps have in-built QR code scanning, but not all. Check whether your phone model has in-built QR capabilities. If not, you will need to download a separate QR scanning app.
- Use the written code instead. On the Programmer, you are able to switch the QR code to a written code that can be input into the app. This also works to conect your Passiv account with your Hub.
Please note that the QR code will only work to register for the app if your Hub is connected to the internet via an ethernet cable. If your Hub is not connected, the QR code displayed will only allow you to download the app, not to register your Hub. You will also not be able to view the text code to input into the app.
